Financial Literacy

With professionals from all around the world. Study the business market and live in it.

Financial responsibility and financial education are keys to the long-term success of all individuals. As a locally-owned bank dedicated to serving the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, we want to be an active participant in our community’s efforts to improve the financial education of our citizens. One of the key ways we strive to meet this need is through our support of financial education efforts in our local area schools.

Quail Creek Bank provides the Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum published by financial guru, Dave Ramsey. This curriculum provides educators with comprehensive lesson plans, video lessons and supporting activities which help students understand the concepts of financial responsibility and sound decision-making.

Employee Involvement

Quail Creek Bank sends a team of employees to teach in the classroom each semester at our sponsored schools. This allows students to learn from a banker, ask questions, and discover more about banking topics that are of specific interest to both the instructor and the class. Students are encouraged to begin a banking relationship to practice their newly acquired money management skills. Additionally, bank employees are available to join in school events and bring a fun and exciting atmosphere, engaging students in the financial learning process in new ways.

Bachelors Degree - Secondary Education

A daughter of two retired Oklahoma educators and a Secondary Education major myself, I feel passionate about the importance of education; especially Personal Finance. Educating students in the classroom or customers during the New Account opening process and beyond, I am dedicated to helping our youth succeed in their financial goals.

Bachelors Degree in Business Majoring in Management

As the newest member of the Financial Literacy Team, I am excited to provide students with helpful tips to avoid the typical financial pitfalls of credit card debt and lack of budgeting. I'm pleased that financial education has gained enough support that it is now a graduation requirement. As an overcomer of credit card debt myself, I consider the opportunity to help students make smarter choices with their financial futures a privilege.

I was fortunate enough to be a part of launching the QCB Financial Literacy program over eight years ago, and I am so humbled, and proud, of the program’s success. The number of students we’ve reached in our efforts to ensure OKC kids have access to sound advice on handling money properly is impressive, and the feedback we receive from many local families and teachers is life changing. We are proud to be a part of helping our local schools in their financial education efforts!

Bachelor's Degree in Finance Minor in Accounting

I feel so honored to be part of such an outstanding program that is no doubt affecting the future of the kids we get to impact. Growing up we didn't have any sort of financial literacy in school, and now we get to watch these kids make much better decisions with their money and plan for their futures. I feel it is vital as a banker to educate our citizens and the future decision-makers of our local economy, and QCB is generous enough to be helping so many schools in our area. It truly is amazing to be a part of something so life-changing.
